Remembrance day

Posted by Yunus

November eleven is remembrance day in many parts of the Common Wealth. So as well in Canada. In our Energy conversion class, the teaxher stops at 11.00 and tells us: “Actually it doesn’t matter so much, where you’re from, it’s pretty much the samr for everyone – that we can live now here at this high level, is due to our ancestors, some of them died in war. Let’s keep the moment of silence now.” – And the whole class is quiet for a minute.

Also many people wear a (plastic) “poppy” (Mohnblume) on their coats.
